the following is a brief summary of the mission of Fellowship Atlantic.

Who we Are: Fellowship Atlantic is part of the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches in Canada, a larger family of congregations across the country (presently over 500). Fellowship Atlantic congregations are locted in the Atlantic provinces and the Gaspe region of Quebec.

Why we Exist: Fellowship Atlantic exists to provide its member congregations with the encouragement, resources and opportunities they need for healthy growth.

What we do: The Regional Director has the mandate to lead the effort in getting our churches what they need for mission. This includes three specific areas:

Healthy growth: while growth is not a sign of health, healthy churches are growing churches. Fellowship Atlantic will provide stimulus and resources to congregational leadership teams to ensure our congregations are faithful and fruitful.

Church Multiplication: Fellowship Atlantic will initiate church plants and assist congregations to reproduce healthy congregations.

Leadership Development: Fellowship Atlantic will initiate and facilitate clusters of congregational leaders for leadership development and mentoring.

The Regional Director is a student of congregational life and commits to regular contact with pastors and congregational leaders as a consultant and resource provider. He resides in Halifax, NS.

The Fellowship/Fellowship Atlantic provides:
  • congregations with the option to participate in a benefits plan for their staff.
  • an annual getaway weekend for ministry staff and their spouses
  • annual conferences for training and encouragement

Why belong:

  • to benefit from collaborating with a larger group of leaders who are in the trenches leading congregations to reach their communities.
  • to participate with other like-minded congregations in reaching Atlantic Canada for God's glory.
