In order to determine if you are making progress in the area of making diciples, you must outline some specific characteristics that indicate spiritual maturity.
The following describes 4 primary behavioral areas of a mature disciple, in measurable terms. It is provided as a starting point for your congregation to use as you describe what being a mature disciple is in your context.

When determining your criteria, ensure the steps are measurable, and then ensure you do measure it. An effective measurement tool is a survey, where specific questions are asked that help you determine how people assess their own progress in the area of spiritual maturity.
